Brief Description

The position of “Kitchen Chef” consists of planning, directing, checking and coordinating activities of the Bowling Centre relating to food and beverages. They shall have the overall responsibility of the kitchen and kitchen personnel, preparing the kitchen staff roster and assigning duties. They shall also plan the work schedule and organize workstations for each shift. The chef should also maintain Food and Equipment inventories, and keep inventory records. Close monitoring of food preparation methods, portion sizes and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented as per established criteria (fiches techniques) is also required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Training in Vocational School or diploma;
  • Ability to actively look for ways to help people, to adjust actions in relation to others’ actions and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions;
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identify the best people for the job.
